Both a photographer and filmmaker, Anne-Charlotte Moulard uses images to tell stories that navigate between fiction and documentary, driven by her desire to question our perceptions and the way places, memories and emotions shape how we see the world. Exploring the delicate boundary between reality and imagination, she creates symbolic images infused with vivid colours and bold contrasts, reflecting her taste for offbeat, dreamlike worlds.
In this exhibition, Anne-Charlotte Moulard presents a variety of photographic works and videos as a kind of introduction to her work, style and perspective. In 2026 she will participate in a Franco-German exchange and will then show the results of her residency in Essen in a second exhibition at Galerie 52 in the summer semester 2026.

Photographe et réalisatrice, Anne-Charlotte Moulard utilise les images pour raconter des histoires entre fiction et documentaire, animée par son désir de questionner nos perceptions, en particulier la façon dont les lieux, les souvenirs et les émotions façonnent notre vision du monde. Explorant la fragile frontière entre le réel et l’imaginaire, elle crée des images aux couleurs vives et contrastées qui reflètent son goût pour les univers décalés et oniriques.
Anne-Charlotte Moulard présente cette année à la Galerie 52 une sélection introductive de photographies et de vidéos qui nous emporte dans son univers de création. En 2026, elle participera à une résidence à Essen dans le cadre d’un échange franco-allemand, laquelle donnera lieu à une nouvelle présentation, cette fois de ses travaux réalisés sur place.

Die Fotografin und Filmemacherin Anne-Charlotte Moulard nutzt Bilder, um Geschichten zu erzählen, die zwischen Fiktion und Dokumentation oszillieren. Dabei hinterfragt sie unsere Wahrnehmungen insbesondere die Art und Weise, wie Orte, Erinnerungen und Emotionen unsere Weltanschauung beeinflussen. Sie erkundet die fragile Grenze zwischen Realität und Fantasie und schafft Bilder in kräftigen, kontrastreichen Farben, die ihre Vorliebe für verdrehte Realitäten und Traumwelten widerspiegeln.
Dieses Jahr Anne-Charlotte Moulard präsentiert in der Galerie 52 eine einführende Auswahl an Fotografien und Videos, die uns in ihr kreatives Schaffen entführen. Im Jahr 2026 wird sie im Rahmen eines deutsch-französischen Austauschs an einem Residenzprogramm in Essen teilnehmen, das zu einer neuen Präsentation führen wird, diesmal von ihren vor Ort entstandenen Arbeiten.

Die Ausstellung wird unterstützt durch Diaphane, pôle photographique en hauts-de-france, Institut Français, Région Haut de France und das Deutsch-Französische Kulturzentrum Essen.
